Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress, best recognized for her roles in films in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue is an American actress, producer and director who has worked in both film and television. Aunjanue L. Ellis began her acting in the theater. Later, she appeared in television shows along with independent and mainstream film. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. Both series received major reviews, and she also took home a variety of prizes. Her career began as an actor in the year 1995 as Ariel in The Tempest. Her stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Her most well-known work is her role in the series Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. For her work on television she's been recognized for her part as a regular character on ABC's drama about cops High Incident.
